The size and amount of emotes allowed can be increased with a paid plan, but the core functionality will always be available. This includes GIFs.
Plans for the Future
Eventually we would like to launch some advanced fatures that will cost us more to operate. These would also likely be paywalled in some way. But rest assured that we will put forth every effort to offer a free, but maybe limited, version of such features.
